Approximately 7 percent of the population suffers from various kinds of heart disease or from heart damage of some kind, according to an estimate. Most of the people relate heart diseases with arteriosclerosis, which directs later to heart attack. However there are other kinds of deadly heart diseases. Understanding the facts about the primary forms of heart disease can enable us to know the symptoms both in our self and our dear ones. To survive a heart disease, the most significant factor is early recognition of the disease.

The most common form of heart disease is Arteriosclerosis. Arteriosclerosis is distinguished by a hardening of the arteries of the heart, including the coronary arteries, which surrounds and nourishes the heart. Although the exact course of action is not known, it is recognized that the build up of plaque in blood vessels ultimately causes the arteries to harden. Thus, the plaque seems to be the impulsive factor. Fortunately, this can be controlled by taking a proper diet and regular exercise.
